Where it fits

Use Gusset envelope with clear constraints.

Best for

  • Document sets
  • Fabric samples
  • Stationery kits

Not for

  • Unverified regulated packaging
  • Loads that have not been physically tested
  • Industrial production without converter review

Assembly sequence

  1. Cut the solid structural paths.
  2. Score every fold path without cutting through the stock.
  3. Pre-break folds, form the body and close the seam.
  4. Check closure engagement and measure the finished package.

Production notes

  • Use the measured caliper of the final stock.
  • Confirm grain or flute direction before nesting.
  • Prototype the generated file at actual size before artwork approval.

Questions before production

Are the dimensions internal or external?

Internal is the default. External mode subtracts a deterministic material allowance before geometry is generated.

Is the file production approved?

No. Digital preflight verifies consistency, not substrate, tooling, adhesive, load or regulatory suitability.

Which export should I use?

Use SVG for design and craft cutters, DXF for CAD or laser workflows, and PDF for actual-size review and printing.
